East Valley offers Transitional Bilingual Instructional Programs for our students with diverse cultural backgrounds and unique needs linguistically.

Our Mission Statement: English Language Learners (ELLs) will meet state standards and develop English language proficiency in an environment where language and cultural assets are recognized as valuable resources to learning.

East Valley instructional ELL program models:

Dual Language Program (Two-Way Dual Education) -  EV K- 11: The "Dual Language Program" provides literacy and content through integrated language and academic instruction for native English speakers and native Spanish speakers with the goals of high academic achievement, first and second language proficiency, and cross-cultural understanding with both groups becoming bilingual and biliterate in the two languages.

Supportive Mainstream K-12: Students in the Supportive Mainstream model access grade-level academic content and English language development through participation in their mainstream classrooms with support provided either individually or in small groups by specially trained educators.
