Free Meals for All Students Through 2029!

We are excited to announce that East Valley School District has been approved to participate in the USDA’s Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) through June 2029!

This means that every enrolled student can continue to receive one complete breakfast and one complete lunch every school day, completely free, with no application required. 

  • No meal applications
  • No income verification
  • No charges for qualifying meals

This long-term approval allows our schools to focus on student health, reduce food insecurity, and support academic success — all at no cost to families.

    • One (1) complete breakfast
    • One (1) complete lunch
      • Meals must meet USDA nutrition standards to qualify.
    • Second meals
    • Single entrée or side items
    • Milk-only purchases
    • À la carte snacks or beverages

    These items require payment at the time of purchase.

  • Start the day with a healthy school breakfast!

    • Breakfast is served daily at all schools
    • Lines remain open for 10 minutes after the morning bell
    • Students can eat in the classroom when arriving after the bell so they don’t miss learning time

    Charging is not allowed for adults, second meals, or à la carte purchases

  • Menus may change without notice due to manufacturer or vendor availability. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding.

  • We avoid offering peanuts, tree nuts, fish, and shellfish on our daily menus but some items may be processed in facilities that process these known allergens.

    Child Nutrition Eligibility & Education Benefit Application (CNEEB)

    • The CNEEB Application now combines the free/reduced-price meal application and the family income survey.
    • Completing it may qualify households for benefits like Summer EBT, reduced program fees, and additional school funding.
    • If your student is directly certified through an assistance program, you don’t need to apply.
    • Submit only one application per household.

USDA Non-Discrimination Statement

To file a program discrimination complaint, a Complainant should complete a Form AD-3027, USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form which can be obtained online at: USDA Complaint Form, from any USDA office, by calling (866) 632-9992, or by writing a letter addressed to USDA. The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
